Scentsy Replacement Dishes: How to Find the Right One

Golden Sunset Scentsy Warmer, as the replacement dish only

The short answer: every Scentsy replacement dish is made for a specific warmer, so search by your warmer’s name rather than by size or colour. You’ll find them in our replacement dishes and lids. If a dish is cracked or chipped, stop using it until you’ve fitted a new one.

A chipped or broken dish doesn’t mean the end of a favourite warmer. Scentsy makes replacement dishes, and lids for some designs, so you can keep the warmer you chose for its looks and simply swap the part that’s worn. This guide covers how to find the right one, how to fit it, and when a dish just needs a clean rather than replacing.

How to find the right replacement dish

The single most useful detail is your warmer’s name. Dishes that look almost identical can differ by a few millimetres in width, depth or rim, and that’s enough to make one wobble or sit too high. So match by name, not by eye:

  • Check the base of the warmer, the original box or your order confirmation for the design name.
  • Search our replacement dishes and lids for that name. Each dish is listed under the warmer it belongs to.
  • Don’t assume dishes swap within a collection, a colour or a season. Mini and full-size warmers in particular take very different dishes.
  • Not sure of the name? Send us photos of the warmer from the front, side and top on WhatsApp and we’ll help you identify it.

Measuring the opening where the dish sits can help you narrow things down for an older warmer, but treat it as a second check. The warmer’s name is what decides the fit.

Why not use any dish that fits?

It’s tempting to pop a ramekin or a dish from another wax burner on top, but it isn’t worth it. A dish that wasn’t made for your warmer may not be heat-safe for the job, may not sit level, and can rock when you top up the wax. The right dish also finishes the look of the warmer: on many designs it carries part of the pattern, colour or shape.

How to swap a warmer dish

  1. Switch off and unplug the warmer, then let it cool completely, wax included.
  2. Lift the old dish straight up. If cooled wax around the edge is holding it, ease it gently rather than twisting. If the dish is cracked, handle it carefully and lift it out in one piece where you can.
  3. Wipe the top of the warmer with a soft, dry cloth so the new dish sits evenly.
  4. Lower the new dish into place. It should rest level and feel steady without any pushing. If it rocks or sits high, it’s not the right dish for that warmer.
  5. Add wax and switch on as normal.

Replace it, or just clean it?

Replace the dish if it’s cracked, chipped, rough around the edge or no longer sits securely. Even a fine crack can worsen with repeated warming and cooling, so don’t keep using it in the meantime.

Clean it if the problem is staining or leftover residue. Richly coloured wax can leave a faint tint, especially on pale ceramic, and that’s just a sign of a well-loved warmer. Our guide to cleaning a Scentsy dish shows you how.

Older and retired warmers

Replacement dishes are made for selected designs, and availability for retired warmers varies. If yours isn’t listed, resist improvising. Keep the warmer’s name handy, ask us whether a dish is due back, and check our range again later, as dishes do come and go.

If the warmer itself is damaged or no longer works, a new dish won’t fix it. That’s the time to look at our Scentsy Warmers range instead.

Looking after your new dish

  • Never pour melted wax down the sink. It sets in the pipes. Let it cool and harden, then ease it out.
  • Wash gently with warm, soapy water and a soft cloth, and dry the dish fully before putting it back. Skip abrasive pads, which can dull a glazed finish.
  • Don’t overfill. A couple of cubes leaves room so wax can’t slop over the rim if the warmer is knocked.
  • Keep the warmer on a flat, heat-resistant surface, away from curtains and out of reach of children and pets.

A new dish is a lovely excuse for a new fragrance, too: browse our Scentsy Wax Bars for your next one.

Replacement dish questions

Are Scentsy warmer dishes interchangeable?

Not usually. Each replacement dish is made for a specific warmer, and dishes that look alike can differ in width, depth or rim. Always match the dish to your warmer’s name.

Can I keep using a cracked warmer dish?

No. A crack can worsen as the dish warms and cools, so stop using the warmer until you’ve fitted a replacement.

Where do I find my warmer’s name?

Check the base of the warmer, the original box or your order confirmation. If you can’t find it, send us photos on WhatsApp and we’ll help you identify it.

Can I get a replacement dish for a retired warmer?

Sometimes. Replacement dishes are made for selected designs and availability varies, so check our replacement dishes and lids or ask us whether one is due back.

Do some Scentsy warmers have replacement lids?

Yes. Some designs have a separate lid, and where Scentsy makes a replacement you’ll find it alongside the dishes.

Can’t find your dish? Message us on WhatsApp with a photo of your warmer and we’ll track it down.
